The commitment of the American University of Integrative Sciences, School of Medicine to its host country, Barbados, as well as the overall Caribbean community, is in part supported by this tuition grant available to the citizens of the region:
Academic Grant for Caribbean Citizens: An academic grant is available to citizens of the Caribbean Basin who wish to pursue their medical studies at the American University of Integrative Sciences, School of Medicine Barbados. The grant can be awarded to 12 new recipients each calendar year, with additional, smaller grants disbursed in cases of large numbers of quality applicants. Applicants must have an undergraduate or Pre-Medical GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in a science-related field of study from a recognized college or university. Eligible applicants must write a one (1) Page Essay to the Admissions Committee indicating why they wish to be considered for the grant, in addition to submitting an application for General Admission. The Grant sets Basic Sciences Tuition for Caribbean students at $5900 USD/Semester for the first four (4) Basic Science semesters, the entirety of your time on Barbados. While no additional scholarships can be applied during the first two years of Basic Sciences, we encourage you to apply for one of our general scholarships during your clincal education.
