AUIS Tuition and Fees
AUIS aims to be among the most affordable of the Caribbean Medical Schools. We have a rich history of Matching students in the USA and Canada since our inception in 1999. As a smaller, tight-knit school, we maintain extremely small class-sizes of under 11 students per classroom and provide robust academic support for our students throughout their education- something you will not find anywhere else in the Caribbean. AUIS students that perform well should be rewarded for their dedication to medical studies. With that belief in mind, we have recently lowered our tuition fees for new, qualified semester I (MD1) applicants from the United States and Canada. If you have a 3.0 Bachelors GPA that covers our prerequisites, the below reduced tuition prices will apply. If you are a CARICOM citizen, more information about your tuition can be found here. *Tuition is due 30 days prior to semester start. Payments recieved 45 days in advance receive a 3% tuition discount.
*Seat deposits paid 90 days prior to the start of your first semester receive a 5 % discount on MD1 tuition.
*Please note, as with all AUIS Scholarships and Grants, the student must maintain a 3.5/4.0 GPA each semester to continue to qualify.
Students entering their initial term at AUIS School of Medicine will be provided with a list of recommended texts. Students should budget $750 for first term textbooks.
Clinical Attire and Medical Kits
Clinical attire, consisting of lab jackets, scrubs, dissection kits and patient examination kits will be required during the basic sciences terms. You should budget a total of $550 for these items which can be purchased in advance of your arrival
Health insurance is mandatory while students are enrolled at AUIS School of Medicine.
While there is no On campus housing, AUIS does maintain apartments and relationships with real estate agents for Off campus residences. Prices for accomodation range from $700 to $1100 per month depending on amenities and location.
