The American University of Integrative Sciences School of Medicine is proud to be a premier Caribbean medical school, and honored to be located on the island of Barbados.
Our commitment to our students is only equalled by our commitment to our community. The opportunity to follow one’s dream of becoming a physician is offered to all qualified students, whether coming to us from the United States and Canada, the Caribbean Basin, or elsewhere internationally.
The commitment of the American University of Integrative Sciences, School of Medicine to its host country, Barbados, as well as the overall Caribbean community, is in part supported by the various services available to the citizens of the region:
Academic Grant for Caribbean Nation Citizens:
An academic grant is available to citizens of the Caribbean Basin who wish to pursue their medical studies at the American University of Integrative Sciences, School of Medicine. The grant can be awarded to more than one new recipient each semester. Applicants must have an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in a science-related field of study from a recognized college or university. Eligible applicants must write a letter to the Admissions Committee indicating why they wish to be considered for this scholarship, in addition to submitting an application to the University. The grant amount effectively reduces CARICOM citizens' tuition by $2,000 each semester of the Basic Sciences Courses on Barbados.
