AUIS Scholarship Opportunities

American University of Integrative Sciences, School of Medicine has recently announced a robust and comprehensive scholarship program.

All scholarships are a reduction of AUIS tuition at the value stated. 

FOUNDER’S SCHOLARSHIP (This scholarship is only available for students that entered AUIS prior to June 2018)

The Founder’s Scholarship is awarded to those with superior academic credentials. The scholarship awards full tuition for Basic Sciences and 50% tuition reduction for Clinical Clerkships. This amounts to a 75% reduction in medical school tuition! A college cumulative grade point average of 3.80 is required to apply. College credits can be no more than two years old. Once awarded, students must maintain the 3.80 for every Basic Science semester and the evaluation of Honors for every Clinical Clerkship.

MILITARY APPRECIATION SCHOLARSHIP

AUIS appreciates the service of the men and women in the US military. Military personnel who have any percentage of verified disability are awarded up to a 30% tuition reduction for every Basic Science semester. A minimum of 2.75 GPA is required from all former colleges and a 3.5/4.0 GPA must be maintained throughout Basic Science classes to maintain the scholarship. College credits can be no more than two years old.

MERIT SCHOLARSHIP (This scholarship is only available for students that entered AUIS prior to June 2018)

The AUIS Merit Based Scholarship rewards hard work with monetary rewards. A grade point average of 3.65 is required to apply for this scholarship which is valued at $1700 for the first term. College credits can be no more than two years old. Thereafter, recipients must maintain a 3.5 GPA for every Basic Science term.

ESSAY SCHOLARSHIP

Research earns scholarship money. This scholarship is designed to reward future academic success rather than to penalize past performance. The criterion to apply for the Essay Scholarship is your Acceptance Letter! There are several topics from which applicants may select their area of greatest interest. The Scholarship Committee reviews the topics and determines eligibility for the scholarship. If awarded the scholarship is valued at $1500 tuition credit for first semester Basic Science classes. The scholarship remains at $1500 for every Basic Science semester the recipient maintains a 3.5 GPA. The scholarship reduces to $1000 for Basic Science semesters if grades drop to a 3.0 GPA.

NURSE TO DOCTOR SCHOLARSHIP

The AUIS Nurse to Doctor Scholarship rewards hard work and experience in the medical field with a unique scholarship opportunity. An RN or BSN with at least 1 year of work experience in nursing is eligible for the scholarship, which is valued at $1,500 for the first term of Basic Sciences. Thereafter, recipients must maintain a 3.5 GPA for every Basic Science term to continue to receive this $ 1,500 per semester tuition credit.

Requirements

Founders Scholarship

  • Submit AUIS Acceptance Letter with your application for the scholarship.
  • College transcript (s) must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.80 for all college level courses.
  • MCAT may be considered, but is not required.
  • Scholarship Committee reserves the right to conduct a phone interview for clarification of information.
  • Founder’s Scholarship recipients must maintain a 3.80 GPA for all classes in Basic Sciences and evaluation of Honors for all clerkships.

Military Appreciation Scholarship

  • Submit AUIS Acceptance Letter with your application for the scholarship.
  • College transcript (s) must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 for all college level courses. Student must maintain a 2.75 for all Basic Science semesters to continue to receive this tuition reduction.
  • Provide a copy of the DD 214 reflecting a character of service as anything other than a dishonorable, bad conduct or misconduct discharge.
  • Explanation of financial need and amount requested.
  • MCAT may be considered, but is not required.
  • Scholarship Committee reserves the right to conduct a phone interview for clarification of information.
  • Resume including any relevant medical experience (i.e., medic, pharmacy tech, x-ray tech, etc.).
  • Scholarships will be awarded until annual military scholarship funds are depleted.

Merit Scholarship

  • Submit AUIS Acceptance Letter with your application for the scholarship.
  • College transcript (s) must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.65 for all college level courses.
  • MCAT may be considered, but is not required.
  • Scholarship Committee reserves the right to conduct a phone interview for clarification of information.

Essay Scholarship

  • Submit AUIS Acceptance Letter with your application for the scholarship.
  • Select research topic from the list provided. Submit the research essay to the Scholarship Director.
  • No grade point average is required to apply for the Essay Scholarship; however, a semester average of 3.50 is required to continue to receive the $1500/semester for Basic Science tuition. The scholarship reduces to $1000/semester for Basic Science semester with a 3.0 GPA.
  • MCAT may be considered, but is not required.
  • Scholarship Committee reserves the right to conduct a phone interview for clarification of information.

Nurse to Doctor Scholarship

  • Submit AUIS acceptance letter with the application for scholarship.
  • A semester average of 3.50 is required to continue to receive the $2,200/semester for Basic Science tuition. The scholarship reduces to $1000/semester for Basic Science semester with a 3.0 GPA.
  • MCAT may be considered, but is not required.
  • Scholarship Committee reserves the right to conduct a phone interview for clarification of information.
  • Submit proof of nursing credentials with resume/CV reflecting nursing experience.
