Career Profile

Dr. Powlett is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon, with several years’ experience in medical education.

Her objectives as a medical educator are to encourage critical thinking, establish competency, inspire life-long learning and clinical excellence.

Dr. Powlett also maintains a clinical practice, and participates in continuing medical education activities. Her current clinical interests include minimally invasive valve therapies and women’s preventive cardiac healthcare.
